The Emily Carr String Quartet has established itself as one of BC’s finest music ensembles.  The quartet is formed by members of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and other professional music ensembles.  In 2011 the quartet incorporated into a Not for Profit Society which is based in Metchosin. The ECSQ has performed their Main Series program twice a season in Metchosin since 2013 at St. Mary of the Incarnation Church, 4125 Metchosin Road.

The Victoria, BC band performs regularly at community events, markets, dances and house parties, offering electric or acoustic format to suit any occasion. Lead singer and guitarist Dave Preston is accompanied by his wife Lesley on bass and vocals, Dan Galano on guitar and vocals, Kevin Kotorynski on keyboards, harmonica, and vocals, and T. W.
