This month the Metchosin Emergency Program is hosting its' free monthly info session with everything electrical including electrical panels, fuses, outlets and extension cords. The info session will cover everyday safety and touch on electricity during an emergency such as severe storm or earthquake. We need your unwanted "stuff" including antiques, collectibles, clothing, books, furniture in reasonable condition, small appliances in reasonable working order, tools, sporting goods, china and household goods. Donations can be dropped off at the tents beside the Community House daily, starting Saturday, May 19 through to Friday, May 25 from 10:00 am  to 2:00 pm. Motus Design Classic Bike Races in Metchosin

The races, which feature grueling hills, fast descents and tight technical corners, start at Hans Helgeson Elementary School at 7:30 a.m. and finish on Liberty Road near Deer Park Trail.  Races expected to finish around 2:00 p.m. Metchosin motorists are advised to watch out for cyclists along the circular route on Rocky Point, Liberty, Labonne, Barrow and Kangaree Roads.  As the route travels in a clockwise direction, the best way to avoid traffic delays is to plan a counter-clockwise route…
