Emily Carr String Quartet Performance

The Emily Carr String Quartet Society presents A Musical  Legacy (1939-1945) featuring music composed during the time of war.  The Quartet will perform English composer Ralph Vaughn William`s masterful Second String Quartet, Polish composer Mieczyslaw Weinberg`s Fifth String Quartet and Samuel Barber`s Adagio for Strings. The 10th Quasi-Annual Metchosin Fruit Grafting Day

We continue the celebration of growing local fruit with our annual grafting in Metchosin! Each year the Metchosin Pomological Society buys a variety of root stock and interested residents get together at the Community House to make new fruit trees from a wide variety of the local apple, pear  and stonefruit scionwood.
